Why Chiropractic and not another area of practice?

While I was in pharmacy school I was involved in a motor vehicle accident. As a result of the accident I suffered from daily headaches. After other forms of medical treatment failed to relieve my pain I was advised by a friend to try chiropractic treatment. After my first adjustment I was pain free. It was then that I knew this was the area of practice for me.

What do you enjoy most in your work?

I enjoy helping people feel better. Also, I enjoy educating them and helping them understand that sometimes even small changes can greatly improve their quality of life.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I really enjoy fishing, hiking, and above all spending time with my family.

JAKE HUTCHCRAFT, L.M.T.

Growing up in Fayetteville, AR, Jake has been on a path of discovering the capabilities and underlying patterns of the human body and how the myofascial system can affect it since he was 16 years old. Through weight training and working on his own injuries, Jake gained a deeper understanding of the human body and a heightened plapatory sense. After high school, and before enrolling in college, Jake poured over anatomy textbooks, muscle books and magazines to gain a more intricate view of how the musculature system worked.

After Jake obtained his Associates of Science Degree, he wasn't sure where his interest in Kinesiology would take him until he went to massage school. While attending Blue Cliff College for his license in Massage Therapy, he was shown a non western view of the interconnectivity of our bodies and all its systems, which further fuels his passion for understanding the medical benefits that bodywork can provide as a tool in proactive health and wellness.

While versed in a variety of techniques, Jake is most passionate about my-fasciae release and deep tissue trigger point therapy.

What do you like about your work?

"I am a people person and I love helping others! In this line of work people come in hurting and it's great to see them feel better when they leave. I always want to make a positive difference in someone's life each and every day - no matter how big or small it may be."

Why Chiropractic and not another area of practice?

"I've always had a fascination for chiropractic care. If you can avoid taking harmful prescription drugs and heal naturally, that's the way to go. We are an over medicated society and I love the idea of natural healing."

What do you like about NW Arkansas?

"It's home! I love the natural beauty of this area. There is so much to do. I look around and thank the Lord for creating such a beautiful masterpiece here in NWA; and the people are pretty amazing too!"
